Whole-Food Plant-Based eating. Wow. That’s a mouthful (no pun intended!) What is it? It’s a plant-based way of eating (not a diet in the modern sense of the word, but a lifestyle choice) based around eating plant foods. Starches, fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, seeds, nuts – and all in their natural, original, whole forms. The Whole-Food Plant-Based lifestyle excludes all animal products (that’s meat, fish, eggs, dairy), minimal or no processed foods, and little to no oils.
I’ve put together this site to share some of the resources that I have found beneficial over the past several months of beginning this new lifestyle. Specifically, the movie that is changing lives worldwide, Forks Over Knives, books from the leaders of the Whole-Food Plant-Based movement who have made the biggest impact on me (Caldwell Esselstyn, Colin Campbell, John McDougall, Jeff Novick), and some of the hours of fascinating and educational YouTube lectures that I have enjoyed.
